Co-Founder, Dr. Murphy earned her doctoral degree by studying how addiction impacts families and loved ones of individuals with substance use disorder. She established that caregivers experience enormous stress and strain as a result of their loved one’s addiction.
Dr. Stacy Murphy began her career in nursing in 2011. Her nursing experience ranged from emergency room nursing to hospice care and nurse management.
As both the daughter of alcoholic parents and the humble, grateful mother of a daughter in recovery with long-term sobriety, Dr. Murphy and her business partner, Georgia Jabbour formed Navigating Addiction as a way to bring family education and support to facilities across the United States.
Co-Founder, Georgia Jabbour discovered her passion for supporting families and loved ones affected by addiction and mental health challenges through both her professional experience in treatment and her own recovery journey. Her work and personal mission inspired the creation of a program that provides education, connection, and hope to families seeking healing alongside their loved ones.
Drawing from years of experience in the behavioral health field, Georgia combines empathy and understanding to help bridge the gap between treatment and family support. She believes recovery is a collaborative process built on compassion, open communication, and ongoing education.
Georgia’s vision is to help individuals and families find peace, resilience, and renewed purpose as they navigate the path toward healing and recovery together.
